You do not get to define my gender as an illness. You do not get to throw the DSM-IV at me and tell me I’m sick and that my brothers and my sisters are all sick for not fitting your definition of what “male” and “female” are. This time, we are defining ourselves.
Everyone learned binary pronouns when we could barely spell our name. Now that we’re adults, is it REALLY THAT HARD to learn non-binary ones (especially when I educate you on how to use them?)
Stop talking about trans* identities as a sexual minority. Gender does not equal sexual preference.
It is in no way unreasonable to ask you to respect my gender identity. That is not a hard thing to do; and if you’re sick of being asked to, it’s probably because you’re continually fucking up.
If you’re under the impression that a bunch of “trans-genders sprang up overnight”, it’s not because it’s a fad, it’s because we found a voice.
Gender is a fluid non-binary, socially constructed concept but when you say that you are a woman-identified woman with no dysphoria, and nothing links you to a trans* experience, but you now identify as trans* because gender is dumb, it feels like you’re erasing the problems that trans* people really do face. Please evaluate.

STAHP. Stop comparing “cis” to a slur. It’s not a pejorative. Ask yourself what offends you about having to confront your privilege that you would determine “cis” to be a slur.
